In a world of religious radicalism and terrorism, a young lawyer, Sofia, is pushed to her limits with her new case: defend nine historical women who have each had a special relationship with God. Through discovering the truth of these women’s stories, Sofia combats her own biases and fears against religion and learns the true meaning of having faith.

Justin Giachetti (Writer) is a recent Theater Performance graduate at Rider University, he decided to create his own opportunities in this industry and started producing his own work at the age of 18. Previous creative credits include Little Trifles (Student Film), Inferno: A New Work About Sin (World Premiere in NJ), Do Us Part: A One Night Murder Mystery, and Inferno: A New Work About Sin (New York Premiere at the Flea Theater), and Faith in Shackles (World Premiere in West Orange, NJ and New Jersey Fringe in Hammonton, NJ). He also co-created Breaking Through The Box Theater Company, a non profit organization that strives to serve as a forum for new work and new views on old work. He serves on that board as Artistic Director. Justin is currently directing a production of Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay-Abaire, and producing a web series called Messina Inc, which is a modern day adaptation of Shakespearean characters. Justin is also currently pursuing a Masters degree in education.

New Works Development Series nurtures local playwrights, while featuring professional actors, and offering patrons an intimate experience with original work in its infancy.


Each reading features a fun and informative post-performance discussion with the Cast, Director and Playwright.Plays selected for new work development series receive rehearsal with the professional cast and director, providing an opportunity for the playwright to collaborate with other professionals during the development process. Readings are presented script in hand, which allows the playwright to make edits, and develop the work alongside a live audience.
